Suggest Treatment For Insect Bite

I have been on Symbicort for 10 months. This summer I had severe insect bites for the first time and now have hives on these sites along with joint pain. I also have hair loss. My doctor does not think any of these symptoms are related to Symbicort. Please advise.

Insect bite induces allergic reaction in the body. Allergies occur when your immune system reacts to a foreign body. Foreign body may medicine like pollen, animal dander, dust and insect venom etc. When you have allergies, your immune system makes antibodies that identify a particular allergen as harmful, even though it isn't. Severity of allergy ranges from rash to life-threatening anaphylaxis.
Advice
1.     Levocetirizine5 mg – 1 tablet once daily for 7 days
2.     Dexamethasone 0.5 mg – 1 tablet twice daily for 7 days
3.     Do not scratch too much as it will caused skin damage and infection
4.     Calamine lotion – three times daily locally
5.     Use insect repellent such Odomos cream
Thanks
