Suggest Treatment For Injured Eye Along With Brown Fluid Presence In A Toddler

My 2 1/2 year old grandson took a fall causing a cut near his eye, urgent care dr glued and taped the wound. Two days later he takes another fall at our house hitting the wounded area on a coffee table, some bleeding, however pressure stops it realitivly fast. The next day he wakes up, eye swollen shut and purple, reminded me of a fighters eye wound. The eye is also draining a lt brown fluid. His doctor didn t seem to concerned when my daughter in law took him and didn t provide a treatment plan. Is this worth a second opinion or we just over concerned qgrandparents?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that there might be having bacterial infection due to injuring same wound again producing swelling and discharge.
He might require one course of oral antibiotic medicine to heal infection.
Clean the wound with warm water and put eye antibiotic cream.
Go for regular cleaning local part.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
