Suggest Treatment For Infertility After Having Miscarriage
I had a miscarriage at the end of May this year and had to get a D & C to complete the ending of the pregnancy. I have not been able to conceive since then and I m 37 years old and I m afraid I can t get pregnant again. My cycles are now 25 days instead of 28 days like before and I think my luteal phase is only 10 days long. I m about to give up trying to conceive and don t know what to do.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. It is true that chances of pregnancy dwindle as age advances due to the declining number of follicles. Yet, with so many advanced techniques available today, you need not feel disheartened. Please see a specialist in infertility treatment and go through the protocol of investigation and clinical evaluation. Antral follicular count and AMH titers help to predict how much fertile period is left to help plan further management. With shortened menstrual cycles, mostly the pre-ovulatory phase is shortened. Estimation of progesterone levels can detect any luteal phase defect. FSH and LH titers also help. Hope this helps.
