Suggest Treatment For Infection In The Ear

Im 30 year old male just turned 30, earlier in the year around february i got some throat virus that would lock my throat when I would go to sleep. I couldn t sleep for two days, then I got an ear infection soon after, took about 15 amoxicillin that I had from a previous infection and my ear opened up, but then when I showered I accidently got water in there again and I feel the infection came back, I know now I shouldn t have done that, take antibiotics without prescription for risk of not having a full coarse to kill the infection completely, but I could hear again so I just left it alone, but when I touched the back of my ear I could feel water in there. Couple of months went by and it felt the same it was now May so I went to a local doctor and she told me I had excess ear wax so much that she couldn t see in either ear. She told me to dissolve it and prescribed me some acid ear drops for that, I only did one ear cuz I need to be able to hear at least a little at work and these drops are for the whole week. Well my ear got swollen shut again and soon after the pain became excruciating it was safe to say I had a full blown ear infection again, or more likely it never left just reactivated. Finally the week went by I went back to the doctor to finally get the wax out she was able to remove most of it but there was still some left way back there that she still couldn t see my ear drum. I told her I was in severe pain so just in case she prescribed me amoxicillin. I told her about my misuse of that and I thought I was gonna get yelled at but she didn t and prescribed it anyways, I took a full 10 days course of it 30 pills all together and my ear opened up again but (and this is the weird part) now that I can hear again almost every time I go to sleep my throat closes and I can t breath so I m forced to wake up and I go through a few sleepless nights, some nights I sleep OK but it takes a lot of work sometimes to get to sleep. I noticed when I had the ear infection I would sleep just fine but now that my ear pain is gone now I have my throat closing when I fall asleep, I feel like I traded one problem for another. So my question is are these problems related ?or do I now have sleep apnea ? I m not overweight, if anything I m underweight cuz of feeling depressed from not being able to fall asleep at will and the thought of possibly having sleep apnea depresses me, I really hope the problem is related to my ears and will eventually go away. I know the ear infections are still there cuz I touch the back of my ears and feel wetness like my Eustachian tubes aren t open enough to let them dry completely, I m afraid to put anything in my ears to dissolve the earwax cuz I know it will turn into a full-blown ear infection again so I don t know what to do about that but sometimes i feel like I would trade back the ear infection to sleep well again but both of these problems are terrible. I do have asthma but I haven t really had any bad attacks since 2007. Another question is if a misuse of amoxicillin can cause sleep apnea I really hope it s not sleep apnea. I also get anxiety, especially now with these problems. I noticed i may have an easier time sleeping when I drink ginger tea with honey lemon and tumeric, but it doesn t always work. Thanks for listening
