Suggest Treatment For Infected Hair Follicle On Inner Thigh
I have an infected hair follicle on my inner thigh. It has a large, swollen area underneath it that has grown larger all day with the follicle constantly being chaffed by my simply walking. It is now painful just to move, or have any fanric touching it. How do I treat this at home - it is getting worse.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of infected hair follicle on inner thigh which could be due to contact dermatitis, allergic reaction ,eczema ,ringworm infection and because of excessive secretion of sweating in that area. I would suggest you to apply ice pack on it to relive the tenderness at least twice daily. You can also use anti microbial powder on upper thigh area to prevent itching. Personal hygiene is very important in this case. Do not touch it with your hands as it can make them worse and it can also spread the infection to other parts of body, wear loose cloths preferable of cotton fabric. Keep your clothes separate from cloths of other members of the family. If the condition persists for more then a week or recur then consult dermatologist and start treatment after proper prescription.
