Suggest Treatment For Infected Boil Between Breasts

I had a boil in between my breasts and it was already leaking pus a few days before. I got into the tub and squeezed it and a lot of pus came out and now its started bleeding. I cleaned it with some soap, water, and alcohol, then put a bandaid on it. The boil wasn t there until I was on the second day of my period and it s about the size of a small pea. Is it normal for it to occur so fast? What should I do now?

hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Probably the boil had some left over infection which now needs attention. I would suggest a week of Oral antibiotics.
Oral antibacterials are prescription medications and I suggest you to talk to your doctor for the needful.
My choice of Oral antibiotics would be either Flucloxacillin Or Cephalexin, for a week.
An OTC oral antibacterial e.g 2% Mupirocin ointment, twice daily, would also be helpful.
An OTC oral antiinflammatory e,g Ibuprofen once or twice daily will provide you symptomatic relief from pain and swelling.

Regards
