Suggest Treatment For Indigestion While On Tablet Nexium

Hi I am taking 20mg of the tablet Nexium at night for gastric reflux. However I get the indigestion effect when I lie down. Can I increase this medication or what can I do about it? I sometimes take an anti acid quickeze to relieve the symptoms so as I get to sleep. Thanks No worries. I will go to my own Doctor. Thankyou

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to motility disorder. Taking motility enhancers like domperidone along with proton pump inhibitors like Nexium will be helpful for this. If there is no improvement then i would recommend more potent proton pump inhibitors like rabeprazole. Raise the head end more with pillows while sleeping. Take meals at least 2 hours before bed time.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
