Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism

sure thanks! I was just told today I have underactive thyroid tsh 6.63 Free T3 2.3 and Free T4 .4 and the doctor wants me to go on synthroid and I am afraid too. Very few people in my situation like it. I don t want hair loss, weight gain, more migranes than I have, anxiety etc. I want to fix my problem not mask it

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

You do have an early stage of underactive thyroid and the problem is likely to aggravate in future. The Thyroid gland is producing less than the required amount of hormone.

Hence, it is imperative that you replace the deficiency by taking Synthroid 25micrograms (thyroid hormone)/day, empty stomach. Otherwise, further deficiency of hormone will lead to symptoms as brought out by you.

Please note that Synthroid is the treatment and NOT masking the symptoms.
