Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism

I was a heavy pot smoker and haven t smoked any since begining of November but my UA is still coming back postive. Can a blood test show levels better than a urine test. Also take Lamicatol and it came back positive for PCP and I never have touched that stuff. They said sometimes that medicine has it come back positive/negative. I am on numerous meds and have hypothyroidism. Should I do a blood test forf better levels?

Hello,

Yes, for sure, a blood test is more accurate than the urine test, although maybe sometimes the effect of what you smoked can persist for a while.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
