Hello, You had Accelerated Hypertension.for which you might have been prescribed anti-hypertensive drug/s to control BP. It is quite possible that you have developed a reaction to one of the drugs. Out of the anti-hypertensive drugs, ACE inhibitors like Enalapril or Ramipril can cause a skin rash, photosensitivity, arthralgia; arthritis. In that case, you have to discontinue the drug and replace with another anti-hypertensive drug (to consult your doctor). For itching and skin rash low-sedating antihistaminic agents such as cetirizine or levocetirizine generally are used first. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
