Suggest Treatment For Hyperglycemia

Situation: 1. 1975- diffuse toxic goiter, enlarged gland, unable to swallow: surgery hyperT, sliver of thyroid left. 2. Prescribed synthroid, but had complications. Endocrinologist determined test results warranted discontinuance of medication. Never had serious issues until recently. BTW, was considered obese. 3. Currently diagnosed with hyperglycemia, experiencing pedal neuropathy and numbness. 4. Been prescribed Metformin and synthroid, but experiencing negative reactions (bowel): is it IBS? 5. Dysglycemia improving, but do not feel well at all. There are additional issues too numerous to mention with severe hearing impairment, psoriasis, etc, etc. Any insight would be appreciated

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

The present problem you are facing id uncontrolled sugar levels. Metformin is an effective anti diabetic drug prescribed initially for a obese diabetic. But as you in very few, it cause mild bowel changes. when this happens continuously, you can discuss this with your treating doctor and get the dose reduced or change of drug which ever is his option based on your sugar levels. That wouls really help you controlling blood sugar levels and hence numbness and neuropathy.

Coming to hearing impairment and psoriasis, with out neglecting any more please consult local concerned specialist and get the management.
