Suggest Treatment For Hyperactivity In A Child

Hello, I am mother of 4th grade almost 10 years old son. He had a hard time associating with his peers at church. One time I observed my son s obnoxious behavior, which is annoying to them. He doesn t seem to run like an average kid does. I don t know if his muscles are not moving in coordination. I saw him pacing a lot before getting ready for running for his team against other three teams. How can I help him with his hyperactivity here?

Hi,

The problem your child has can be a neurodevelopmental disorder which is affecting his performance in school & needs methodical management.

You need to consult a neuro physician & get exact cause of his problem... to ascertain specific management, which could be medication along with psychotherapy, behavioural therapy complemented by parenting skill you adopt. All of these together would help him out in meeting the needs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
