Suggest Treatment For Hormonal Imbalance

hi doc
one of my friend is suffering from harmonal imbalance. She is 25 years and due to this she is gaining weight. As she was regular in gym doing cardio n light weight training, she is somehow successful to stop the weight gain. However she is unable to lose already gained weight. Doctors have checked her thoroughly. They doubted first thyroid galnd malfunction but now they told its harmonal imbalance. Any advice regarding weight loss will be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for asking.j
few queries
Any associated weight gain/ hairloss/ tiredness/ constipation?
*Any history of recurrent fever / thyroid pain/ eye pain / bulging eye ball/ tiredness?
*Periods- is it regular?
*How is your quality of life?
*Any family history of thyroid disease/ goiter or thyroid malignancy?

any history of thigh or arm muscle weakness/ hump/striae?

few tests needs to be done before weight loss regimen. To exclude hormonal disorder.

TSH/free T4/ calcium /fasting lipid profile/ ALT /
Calcium/phosphorus/HBA1C

currently approved weight loss drugs by FDA

1) tab orlistat taken orally it decreased fat absorption from gut. Average weight loss is 3-4kg per month if the person 's diet predominantly fat based.

2) inj. liraglutide it's a GLP 1 analogue approved once a day injection taken , it decreased appetite. average weight loss 4-5 kg in guidelines. But in my experience I have seen 10 kg in one month.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Thankyou. Wish you good health
