Suggest Treatment For Hives

my daughter broke out what looked like bug bites but then became hives, sort of like welted rash all over her body. I took her to a doctor yesterday and they gave prescribed her prednisone 10mg for five days. It looked like it was getting a little better then became MUCH worse. Should I just continue the medication or take her back to the doctor tonight?

Hi,

A weal (or wheal) is a superficial pale skin swelling, surrounded by erythema (redness) that lasts from a few minutes to 24 hours. Usually very itchy, it may have a burning sensation.

- The main treatment of all forms of urticaria in adults and in children is with an oral second-generation antihistamine like cetirizine according to her age. Avoidance of trigger factors like the physical triggers like scratch, or washing with hot water. Turn back to your doctor to evaluate the situation.
