Suggest Treatment For High Thyroid Levels

yesterday my Tsh level report is showing 16.
I m in under IVF treatment.is it because of the medicine and injections during this treatment?I had done thyriod test in june also.at that time my TSH level was 6 and after that i m taking thyronom 25 mcg.should I increase the medicine?

Hi,

1. TSH rise is not related to the medications for IVF treatment
2. You need to step up your thyroxine dose to bring your TSH below 2.5 as it is the ideal TSH if you are planning for pregnancy.

If I were your treating physician I would have increased your thyroxine dose to 75 mcg and followed you up after 6 weeks with thyroid function tests.
