Suggest Treatment For High Fever

my daughter is 1year 5months old.She is suffering from viral infection with high fever( 103 F). Met Doctor yesterday night and has advised for antibiotics.Penhance(457 mg) syrup..5ml twice a day for 6 days. Also wikoryl (3 times a day).And Combiflam( 3.5) ml wen having fever.still fever is coming till 102/103 afer 2 dosage.

I personally feel at the most she requires paracitamol syp (calpol/crocin) NOT VIKORYL and NOT COMBIFLAM for her fever. Crocin/calpol can safely be repeated every 5 hourly if needed depending on her fever.
And if she is having any bacterial focus of infection (which can be judged by an examination) then antibiotic like Penhance (2.5 ml of Penhance 457/2.5 ml of Augmentin DDS) twice a day and not 5 ml( as in your detail) can be given for 6-7 days .
Fever may take some time to disappear (5-7 days).
