Suggest Treatment For High Fever Despite Consuming Ibugesic
Hi daughter, my daughter is having fever since the last four days. It goes uptp 104. The doctor has started azitral 200. I gave her 4 ml the first day and 2 ml the next day. I have been told to continue for the four days. Her fever is spiking after 7 hrs of giving ibugesic. How long does it take forthe antibiotic to start working. I am worried.
Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have symptoms of high fever despite consuming Ibugesic which could be due to viral infection. Antibiotics will not give much improvement as it seems to be viral infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with paracetamol every 4 hourly. Maintain hydration of child well. Give curd in diet. Start giving oral rehydration fluids sip by sip to maintain the hydration. Avoid giving large meals to child and give her small but frequent meals. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
