Suggest Treatment For High Blood Sugar Levels

I just took my blood sugar and it s 299. I have never been that high . I have been eating alot of popcorn and 1 cookie & stew & cornbread the last 5 hours. Can t seem to control my eating tonight. What can I do to lower it quickly. I take no meds for type 2 diabetes. Normally bllod sugars 140-160 after eating g. C

As per your history is concerned you have type 2 diabetes so sugar level should be FASTING PLASMA GLUCOSE 1 Individualized glycemic targets and glucose-lowering therapies
2 Diet, exercise, as the foundation of the treatment program
3 Use of metformin as the optimal first-line drug unless contraindicated
After metformin, the use of 1 or 2 additional oral or injectable agents, with a goal of minimizing adverse effects if possible
4 Ultimately, insulin therapy alone or with other agents if needed to maintain blood glucose control
5)Where possible, all treatment decisions should involve the patient, with a focus on patient preferences, needs, and values
6)A major focus on comprehensive cardiovascular risk reduction
Do to prevent complications-
1)HbA1c every 3 months
2)Yearly dilated eye examinations
3)Annual microalbumin checks
4)Foot examinations at each visit
5)Blood pressure should be
6)Statin therapy to reduce low-density lipoprotein cholesterol
