My blood pressure is 154/63. Sometimes it ranges from 163/72, but the diastolic number is always beloew 80. I am 59 yr old female, 135 lbs and work out 4 times per week for 1-2 hours. I have been monitoring my blood pressure for the past month, as my endocrinologist said I may need a small dose of blood pressure medication.

You don t mention your height so after mesuring your basal metabolic index we can know that your weight is more or less. You mention that your lifestyle is not too busy.It also affect your blood pressure. Take advice from your doctor and start antihypertensive drug. You have to take low salt in food. Do regularly excercise .Do running excercise. Try to reduce your weght. Avoid junk foods and high calory diet. Avoid oily food.
