Hi welcome to HCM
I have gone thru your query regarding high blood pressure and weight loss and can understand your concern .

Dear , normal bp should be 120/80 . Your HBP reading is towards higher side , 140/90 is considered to be pre hypertension and is a culprit of making the heàrt work harder ,if left untreated it can increase the risk of heart trouble, kidney failure , eye damage ,stroke etc .

Your medication for bp is not giving you any relief ,this is to be reported to your doctor ,He may change the medicine .But for your info , gulping on any amount of only pills/ medicine will not help cure unless you modify your life style .

It is high time you take care of your lifestyle and modify your dietary faults to increase your immunity .
Take proper rest , do slow Walk, yoga , pranayam- deep breathing and meditation ,till your bp goes down .
Take less or no salt in your diet .

Less carbs in diet, starchess grain, Fresh fruit , veges , ginger ,garlic , lemon juice in a glass of water twce a day,a level spoon Turmeric powdér+Almond oil ,with a cup of hot milk at bed time , Aloe vera + Amla júice 30 ml if taken in proper proportion , all help boost immune system and gives resistance from diseases and helps shed your extra weight .

But be careful , don't try to loose Wt.all at once . Slowly start work outs after warming up and gradualy increase .

Avoid Consumption of too much of salt, smoking, alcohol ,obesity, lack of exercise and stress , sleeplessness , dehyderation . These are some of the factors are to be avoided that can add toxins and lead to increase in the blood pressure and several health issues .
Before starting any regimen ,consult your doctor

Hope this helps solves your query .Take care , All the best .

Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
for how long u are suffering from it? any other associated problem? like diabetes ? have u done ur echo? ECG? any heart problem?
In my opinion. the BP readings are are good for your blood pressure. u need to stick to this medication and continue with ur routine chores. as far as the exercise is concerned , in my opinion u should do at least 30 min walk 5 days a week.
if u really want to loose weight then u should decrease ur carbohydrate intake . it is the best intervention one can do with impressive results.
meanwhile stay calm and decrease salt and sugar intake.
get well soon
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask
Regards
Dr Saad Sultan
