I became very sick on February 8th and ended up in the hospital that weekend for a bacterial infection plus a bladder and UTI. They admitted me and put me in in isolation as I had severe diarrhea and they thought I had C.DIF which I did not. They released me the next day and advised to take cephalexin 500mg for 10 days plus probiotics Florastor 2x a day 250mg. I ended up two days later in ER for dehydration. They gave me another IV and potassium as well. They took blood tests again as they did in the hospital. I was sent home and now I am taking since last Tuesday, Prilosec 40mg a day plus just prescribed last Thursday-02/23 metaprolol 25mg 2 x a day for high blood pressure, I have lost maybe 9 - 10 lbs due to the acid reflux which they said is GERD. I also have been taking Alprazolam .25mg 2-3 x a day as needed for anxiety. I still have this burning weird feeling in my throat/esophageous that doesn t go away. It isn t as bad as it was when I ended up in the hospital which at that time the burning was all over my body like burning on fire internally. It was horrible. I still have the tingling sensations sometimes in my legs and I am cold a lot. I took the metaprolol last night at 9:00pm and felt nauseous again plus like lightheaded and dizzy. I have not taken it again today and I feel a little better but my chest and throat are still tingling, I can feel the acid or whatever it is in my stomach and throat. It won t go away. They did an EGD/colonscopy last Tuesday and I will find out the results on Thursday. My endocrinologist also had my blood checked for diabetes, etc and since I had thyroid cancer in 2007 they did an ultrasound and said no biopsy needed. She said my thyroid was at 33 when I got out of the hospital which is really low so I am taking .150mcg of Levo as well. I sometimes feel like my right side of my chest is hurting a little then I get the sensation in my throat/esophageous of the burning again. I don t know exactly if this should be going away soon as I am so tired of feeling this way. I have been in a fog for the past three weeks since my hospital stay. I feel confused and forgetful. I feel as if I have forgotten so much and time has just lapsed on me. What is wrong with me? ...........
