Increase in blood pressure during pregnancy needs to be treated and controlled by means of medications, as it can be harmful to both mother and fetus.
What medications have been prescribed are appropriate and kindly take them as advised by your doctor.
Kindly be patient as it would take a certain amount of time for these medications to act and bring the blood pressure down and keep it under proper limits.
Along with medications, kindly do meditation to decrease your stress levels and eat a healthy diet. Do the necessary follow-up as advised by your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
