Suggest Treatment For High BP And Increased Heart Rate Due To Drinking

My boyfriend is a binge drinker and is currently drinking, mostly beer. During this binge, he keeps getting hiccups (and has in the past during a binge), and his heart rate is increased. I know the alcohol consumption can cause increased blood pressure, but is the increased blood pressure causing the hiccups? I know the carbonation from the beer can cause them, but he does not get them every time he binges. He is 5'9", 190 lbs and is a smoker.

No, he might still have high blood pressure, alcohol raises it, but alcohol 1) stimulates the digestive tract and gastric and salivary secretions 2) can cause reflux and stuff going down the wrong way especially if there is any vomiting 3) just the volume of the alcohol can bloat the stomach. These in turn put pressure on the diaphram. It twitches... hiccups.
