Suggest treatment for hidradenitis suppurativa
WHATS THE BEST HOME TREATMENT FOR HIDRNITIS SUPPURTIVA? iVE HAD IT BEFORE AND MY DOCTOR CUT AND DRAINED IT, THEN PUT SOME TYPE OF TAPE INSIDE THE GLAND TO PREVENT RECURING INFECTION. ITS BEEN A FEW MONTHS AGO THIS WAS DONE., ONE BUMP UNDER LEFT ARM, TWO BUMPS UNDER RIGHT ARM... iVE BEEN USEING WARM DAMP HAND TOWELS AND WASHING WITH HIBACLENS BUT NOT WORKING VERY WELL. WHAT ELSE CAN I TRY, ORSHOULD I JUST RETURN TO THE DOCTOR TO DRAIN IT AGAIN? PLEASE ADVISE... cj

hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.
there is no proven home remedy for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). HS is caused due to blockage of hair follicles so the best and permanent cure is LASER hair removal.
if I were your treating dermatologist I would start you on
cap amoxyclav 625 mg tds
tab isotretinoin 20 mg at night
t-bact cream twice daily
as soon as your disease remits I would start your laser hair removal.
I suggest you see your dermatologist and get a prescription for the above mentioned medicines and also discuss regarding starting laser.
