hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.

hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic disease which involves the hair follicles in axillae and groin areas, so the final treatment is laser hair removal of these areas. once you get your hairs removed there would be no follicle left for HS involvement.

but most of the patients have so much of infection and inflammation going on that it makes laser hair removal difficult.

I start my HS patients on tab augmentin 625 mg tds and cap isotretinoin 20 mg at night. once the disease activity is under control I immediately start with laser.

I suggest you see your dermatologist and discuss regarding laser hair removal and isotretinoin.

hope this has solved your query. for any further information please get back to us. thanks.
