Suggest Treatment For Hiccups After Undergoing Colonoscopy
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...Our son is home from just having a colonoscopy with biopsy (checking for chroma) he has the hiccups and has had them since he first sat up in the hospital. Approx three hours ago. How can he get rid of them.

Hiccups after endoscopy or colonoscopy may be due to anesthesia affect that given in procedure.
A few study shown that up to 20%of patients after post procedure hiccups. So, you just take muscle relaxant medicine like Buscopan twice a day for five days is helpful.
If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.
