Hello, after a recent upper endoscope performed by my GI doctor, I have recently found out that I have a small hiatal hernia. Also another recent test showed that my stomach is not emptying properly. I also have been diagnosed with IBS and severe acid reflux, as well as a chronic burping problem that doesn t sound normal. This combination of problems causes me to sometimes have very severe chest pain that makes me feel like I am going to have a heart attack. My GI and PCP both know of all my symptoms. I am on Nexium a total of 80 miligrams, I also take digestive enzymes before each meal. I eat very small amounts of food. I cannot have dairy, fish, nuts, wheat etc. due to some type of allergen cell that my GI found in my stomach tissue after having it biopsied. I have tried everything I know to stop the stomach pain, and the pain in my chest. I still continue to stay very bloated and swollen way up high and get sharp pains in my ribs and what feels like around my stomach lining. My doctors know about all of this, yet the meds they have me on still are not working, and I feel I can t get any real help for my problems and it s very stressful suffering this way all the time. Do you have any advice or suggestions as to what might help stop the bloating, gas, stomach pain, and chest pain? Thank you so much for your time. Sincerely, Julie Shortridge
