Suggest Treatment For Herpes Zoster

Hello!! I am suffering from harpes zoster on my back (left side) which has little bit spread towards my lower left breasts. its been more than 1 month now, but I still get the severe pain there. It is irritating to wear any clothes also. I have taken harpes medicnes though 2 weeks late as I thought it to be normal rash or insect bite. Does the pain remains for a long time? I have become weak. Read a lot about this illness and m scared and worried.

Hello,

Your history suggests you have developed postherpetic neuralgia. It is a common complication after herpes zoster. In this condition either skin or nerves get affected which results in burning sensation that lasts long after rashes resolve. If I were your treating doctor I would start you on Pregabalin tablets. I would advise you to visit a dermatologist in person.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
