Hi,

I understand your concerns and will try to explain to you the situation here. It would be great if i had more info about his blood results, like liver enzymes, his ultrasound of the liver ect and the reason why he is taking gabapentine and tylenol. Patients with hepatitis C, probably after some years will develop cirrhosis of the liver or even cancer of the liver due to the inflammations from the virus of Hep C.

Than he will have ascites in his abdomen, esophageal varices ect. Any type of alcohol, even beer, will harm the liver of your husband even more,so i would recommend to stop using alcohol for the rest of his life, at least not 3 beers each night. One or two beers in a month can be tolerated, and this is my opinion as a human, as a doctor I recommend 0 alcohol.

If you have any other question, feel free to ask me.

Regards,
Dr. Endri Katro
