Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

I have a uterine fibroid which causes pain, heavy bleeding and a distended stomach. I suffer from iron-deficiency anaemia because of the heavy bleeding and I had an IV ferritin infusion last month which brought my level up to 316 - a fantastic result. But after only one period it is down to 89 and my period is due again in a few days. I am so concerned about what will happen when I lose a lot of blood again this month. I am considering a Uterine Fibroid Embolisation next month.

Hallow Dear,

With such a heavy bleeding and Fibroid uterus, you should get the Uterus and/or Fibroid removed surgically ASAP. It was good move to get Ferritin, however, with such a heavy bleeding, all the boosted blood will be lost. It is like opening a water tap in a leaking tank.

Please do not delay. Consult your Gynaecologist and undergo the surgery immediately after the next menses. Please plan your surgery in the week following your menses to avoid extra bleeding during surgery.

I hope this sends a valid message to you.
