Suggest Treatment For Heartburn

I am nearly 29 weeks pregnant. After a few weeks of really bad heartburn, i seem to be able to eat most things. However, the past few days it's like my throat closes up after eating and it's like the food doesn't go down (regardless of the type of food) and i feel like i'm about to sneeze, but it won't come out. Yesterday, i threw up, but it wasn't uncomfortable and i didn't have any signs of an upset stomach. Is this the baby kicking in the wrong place? or could it be something else?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* It is not the issue of baby kicking, but gastritis from various issues

* My guidelines at present:

- tablet ranitidine ( 150 mg ) 2 times a day on an empty stomach
- antacid syrup containing simethicone and aluminium hydroxide
- dietary precautions to avoid all spices, non-veg.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
