Suggest Treatment For Heart Palpitations

I have had open heart surgery In November for asd closure. I m still havering irregular heart beats and flutters almost hourly. My surgeon thinks it s because they cut open my heart and it would just be my heart finding new signal paths, but it has not improved in several months. My regular doctor took a ekg and my ventricles are beating before my atrial on occasions so it sends my heart into a jitter. How long this last for, and when should I take this more seriously?

Hi welcome to hcm
I understand your query and concern.
Palpitations in your case could be related to Arrhythmia's of heart secondary to stress and anxiety.I advise you to get an ECG,2 d Echo, lipid profile,hs CRP,complete blood picture, chest x ray immediately to confirm the diagnosis.I suggest you to start taking Metolar and propranolol by discussing with your doctor. Also take Anti hypertensives if your blood pressure is higher.Monitor your blood pressure and heart rate regularly.Exercise regularly.Consult your cardiologist for expert management.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
