Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic

According to what you have mentioned it seems the heart burn, pain around the ribs with history of decreased appetite most likely suggests gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in my opinion..Don't worry,You can try simple measures to reduce the symptoms:

1.Drink plenty of water

2.Avoid oily foodstuffs, caffeine containing products like tea, coffee and aerated drinks.

3.Have light meals at shorter intervals than having heavy meals at long intervals.

4.Fix the timings of your meals especially have food early in the night atleast 1-2 hours before you sleep.Do regular exercise.

5.Quit smoking, alcohol if you consume it

6.I usually advice my patients antacids like tab.pantoprazole empty stomach in the morning before meal to decrease the acid levels.

7.If the symptoms are still not relieved I suggest you can undergo an endoscopy if the symptoms are not relieved or if you have difficulty in swallowing,or any voice changes after an expert ENT specialist opinion.

Kindly rate my answer if you find it useful.Feel free to ask any further any queries.Take care.
