Suggest Treatment For Hearing Loss And Throat Pain
Hi my name is Danny Sexton Jr I have a question for you my ear on my right side has been real stuffy I barely can hear out of it when I talk it sounds like I have cotton in my ear and my throat on that side has been hurting I m trying to figure out what s causing my ear to act that way
As per your complain it seems that stuffiness in ear, reduced hearing and painful throat on the same side can be probably due to causes like ear infection leading to fluid behind the eardrum while can also be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray, MRI, otoscopy etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, oral as well as nasal decongestants like Xylometazoline nasal sprays. Along with it steam inhalation and chewing chewing gum can help. In case of no improvement in 15 days surgical drainage by making a small incision through the eardrum can help.
Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks and regards, Dr. Honey Nandwani Arora
