Suggest Treatment For Headaches During Pregnancy

Hi, I am 35 weeks pregnant. I have been having a headache since earlier this evening. I took 650 mg of Tylenol around 7:30 and no relief. My BP was 137/84 on an automatic cuff. My systolic number is higher than usual for me. I know it s not too high but since I m pregnant should I be concerned or just monitor it over the weekend?

Welcome to HealthcareMagic,
Your blood pressure is on the higher side. The automated cuff are not fully reliable so I recommend you to visit your gynecologist and get your blood pressure test again using the mercury BP apparatus which is the best to check blood pressure. If it turns out to be more than 140/90 then your headache is due to high blood pressure and treatment will need to be started. Or else it is just an occasional headache and you have nothing to worry about. Hope that answers your question.
Regards, Dr.Imaad.
