Suggest Treatment For Headache And Difficulty To Breath

Last night I had a headache. I would wake to a feeling of my breath being taken away and pain in my right armpit. My husband said I was breathing rapidly. Tonight I noticed a bruise on my forearm (in a spot that would be tender if I injured it, but don t remember hurting it) and it has developed a small white dot in the center.... also about a week ago I developed a patch of what I think is exczema!!!! Possibly all related? any suggestions?

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Your symptoms could be caused by Zoster infection, although the skin lesion that you refer is not typical of Zoster infection.

Have you had fever?

From the other hand, anxiety could also explain the shortness of breath.

I would recommend consulting with your doctor for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a chest X ray study
- a resting ECG
- lab blood tests (complete blood count, inflammation tests, kidney and liver function tests, fasting glucose, blood electrolytes).

If all the above tests result normal, there is nothing to worry about.

Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes,
Dr. Aida
