Suggest Treatment For Hard And Swollen Knuckle

I fell on both hands and wrists yesterday. Mostly extreme soreness in all with lots of swelling especially on right knuckles, so much so that I can t see my 4th finger knuckle for the swelling (also redness). Been putting ice pack periodically and taking ibuprofen -Just twice so far, once last night for sleep and once this a.m.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
thank you for your query in healthcaremagic.com.....

from your history, it seems like there was some acute inflammation following the trauma and for that you have developed a swelling and pain...

i would suggest you the following-

dont move your hand and wrist much, give it some rest
apply ice thrice daily as you have been doing
take tablet ibuprofen 400 twice daily after food
take tablet esomeprazole/pantoprazole 40 once daily before breakfast
take tablet chymoral forte once daily for reduction of the swelling

follow the above advice for 5 days and that should be enough....

if pain and swelling do not subside, consult an ORTHOPAEDICIAN for XRAY and further management....

hope this was useful...

regards
