Suggest Treatment For Hairloss Due To Dandruff

Hi, I am female 39 years old. I had a very thick hair since my childhood and now due to heavy dandruff problem I started getting bald head. My hair is falling so badly and now i fear for even taking headbath. I tried all oils available in the market but my baldness is increasing instead of having good hair growth. Now I started eating Radiance H capsules and again I am hoping for the best. I dont have any heath issues other than having dandruff. I seek your kind advice and guidance to get back my hair as it was in my childhood days. Is it possible to have a new hair to grow in the palces from where it fell. Please help me out in this regard. Thanks and regards, Kavitha

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

You seem to have alopecia due to seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp. The hair loss due to seborrheic dermatitis of scalp is common phenomenon. First of all the cause of hairloss should be treated. There may be some other causes also beside dandruff. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and treatment. Mild steroid lotion may be applied on the scalp daily at night. Do shampoo with ketoconazole containing shampoo daily till the scalp becomes clear. Short course of steroid may be taken in tappering dose. Tablets cotaining biotin for long time would be helpful to improve the hair growth. Iron, folic acid snd vitamin E tablets may be taken to improve the hair growth. If any underlying disease like thyroid dysfunction..hypo or hyperthyroidism is found, then it should be treated. Improve hygiene and immunity. Have good nutritious food, good sleep and positive attitude. And have patience. You may get good and healthy hairs again. I hope this would be helpful to you.

Thanks.
