Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Probably 8 years ago now I did the splits on a wet deck. Hurt terribly in right groin area. Went to PT. Was given an injection under x-ray, was told it might be a tear inside hip joint and only way to fix would be hip replacement. 2-1/2 yrs. ago I had a THR, but same groin pain is still there but recently it s worse and front of thigh also hurts and sometimes the knee. X-rays show my THR was successful. I never had an MRI and wonder if it could be some kind of soft tissue tear, muscle or tendon perhaps. I see now there s a charge and I can t afford to pay. Sorry for your time.
I have studied your case. As per your history and symptoms there can be injury to adductor muscles or ligament. I will advise you do MRI of hip and after consulting with your doctor you can do that.
Till time take analgesic and continue physiotherapy. Diet rich in calcium and protein will help.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care
