Hi,

Is she on exclusive breast feeds or formulas? Any other complaints like fever/vomiting?

The report mentions an acidic pH, reducing substance +ve(suggesting incomplete digestion) and presence of pus cells(suggesting inflammation).

This can suggest an acute gastroenteritis with secondary lactase deficiency(infection causing damage to cells secreting digestive enzymes). Just complete the antibiotics as suggested by doctor.

Take her back to doctor, if loose stools does not subside in 5 days, fever comes or she becomes lethargic and not feeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK
