Suggest Treatment For Gonorrhea

Good morning I have had sexual intercourse with oral sex and penetration with a woman 3 months ago. After 2 days she felt very tired and sharp pain in her vagina. We went to a family doctor who gave us injection for goenhoria. I went myself to consult at a specialized clinic and was diagnosed with NGU. I was given 4 pills to take in one shot to treat it. Actually. i had had heavy discharge (transparent) for quite some months but had not noticed anything else which would have lead me to think it was a STD. After 10 days of treatment my discharge was much reduced but my girlfriend had not seen any other doctor and was getting some discharge and very sharp pain in her vagina. So we went together to the specialized clinic. But by then we had had sex again and the doctor found that I was still infected (or re-infected). We were given doxycycline for one week and forbidden sex for two weeks. But my girlfriend refused stopping sex, so we had again and still unprotected. We went on holidays abroad thinking we were cured. She had been under other antibiotics and had not noticed anything. She did not take any for the trip and finally was feeling the pain again. She was given inserts once we were in our home country (Singapore) but there she only had one left, not enough to relieve the pain. I went to the hospital while she refused and complained of very sharp pain. My symptoms were worsening : blue infected painful veines on the skin of the penis, very painful testicules, occasional headaches, tiredness. I got injection for goenarhia (very strong ones on my butt) and was given pills for NGU/Chlamydia. My gf refused taking them during the trip (because her doctor told her to stop antibiotics, she had been taking for several months). She started to take one week after. She was still feeling the pain and it went even worse for us: 1. she got rashes/pimples with yellow discharge all over her arms, on her belly (one black pimple at level of the woom) and rashes on her face, still having sharp pain in her vagina. 2. As for me, still blue veins on my penis, pain but slighter in the testicules, some pimple at the top hole of my penis (painful urination), irritation in my butt (hemorroids i already had maybe), occasional tiredness (I am 22, she is 38), incomfort of stomach/intestine, strong headaches with painful head veins and muscular incomfort. Please help us we need to know the exact diagnosis. It is very uncomfortable. How to treat this? Thanks in advance. Brice

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
You had not mentioned anything about the tests you had undergone. How they arrived at the diagnosis of Gonorrhea or NGU. Abstinence from sex during the treatment period is a must. Both of you have to be treated simultaneously. If one partner not got treated there will be every chance for it to relapse. Your girl friend was likely to have Pelvic inflammatory disease for which the treatment is different. Disseminated Gonorrhea is another possibility. Resistance to drugs is to be considered. Consult an expert for further help.
