We have been trying for two years and cannot get preg. We cannot get straight answers about possible problems. She has taken medicine to make her ovulate and blood test shows she has but home tests do not. She is 33 I am 37. No health issues, no smoking/drinking. Overall healthy. Been trying for 2 years.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Infertility can be due to many causes, so both the partners should be properly investigated. If you both have got all your investigations done and they are normal, then the condition is known as unexplained infertility. The first line of management in unexplained infertility is ovulation induction followed by intrauterine insemination and in vitro fertilization as the last resort. The ovulation is predicted by home card test, progesterone levels in blood and by ultrasound. The best prediction is by ultrasound, sometimes blood test is not so accurate. I would suggest you both to consult an infertility specialist to get appropriate treatment. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
