Hi,

Well, first I suggest not to kiss this baby for a while since it could lead to infection transmission.

It is questionable whether your boyfriend had this infection before or it was caused by oral intercourse. In every case, it would be good that you do testing to rule this out.

Genital herpes can cause pain, itching, and sores in your genital area. But you may have no signs or symptoms of genital herpes. If infected, you can be contagious even if you have no visible sores.

There's no cure for genital herpes, but medications can ease symptoms and reduce the risk of infecting others. Condoms also can help prevent the spread of genital herpes infection.

For your BF I can recommend antiviral medications used for genital herpes include: Acyclovir (Zovirax) and Valacyclovir (Valtrex). When the infection is in the inactive form then you can go back to previous activities.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
