Suggest Treatment For Gastroenteritis

i was in the ER and diagnosed with Gastroenteritis and dehydration after having direah for a week. Since then, My diareah gets better then a bit worse. For the past 3 days, I have a strick diet of bananas, steamed rice, pretzels, yogurt, water, potato s. Last night, I ate chicken, and masked potato s and cornbread. For the past 4 days, I only have bowel movements in the morning when I wake up. They are approx. 2 inches long, with soft edges, although i can still see them individually. No liquid at all. Am I getting over this sickness or should I continue on with the strick diet?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that your problem is cured and so gradually you can start your normal diet with plenty of fluids.
Avoid chicken and other junk food for few days.
Ok and take care.
