Suggest Treatment For Gastritis

Hi my name is Katherine, on Christmas day I ate 2 pieces of KFC, 2 handfuls of peanut mms and 2 cans of coke. I dont usually eat any of that type of food. That night my stomach swelled like I was 8 months pregnant (out past my breast). It never went down and the next morning I had runny poo s X 2 and vomitted. Today (3 days later) I am still having runny poo s (which normally hardly ever get) and I am having excrutiating lower abdominal pain slightly to the right, doesn t matter if I wee or poo the pain is there. And if I am nearing the point of going to the toilet the pain is excrutiating and makes me stop and hold onto something. I am Greek so I usually eat alot of vegies fruit that sort of thing and I usually have regular bowel habits with healthy looking stools (if I do say so myself). I just want my old system back =((

Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.
It appears to be due to GI infection. For which I will suggest you to take plenty of fluid and electral powder to prevent fluid and electrolyte insufficiency. Also take a course of probiotics along with mild antispasmodic like drotavarine. Meanwhile get your blood and stool examine (Complete haemogram and stool routine microscopy) to see for any infection and if it is there the a course of antibiotic like ofloxacin will also be required.
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you . Wish you a good health
