Suggest Treatment For Fungal Infection On The Face And Neck

What kind of fungal infection of the skin looks like ringworm after being treated with cortizone (therefore not in a ring pattern), but does not floress (sp?) under black light? Urgent care thought its ringworm, but as I said, does not floress. this is on the face ond neck (and even possibly the eyelids) of a fie year old. It spread very slowly at first, then suddenly multiplied. she also has some small bumps on the inside of her thighs which are now just beginning to spread after two weeks. Lots of itching, no pain except when we tried to put poison ivy medicine on it.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you are having fungal infection.
My treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply a mild antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for itching.
4. Start oral fluconazole 150mg once a week for 4 weeks.

If problem persists beyond 4 weeks then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
