Suggest Treatment For Fungal Infection On Pubic Hair In Scrotum

i have white fungus like growth on my pubic hair(on either side of the scrotum where it is in contact with the thigh) and i have had it for years but never did much to have it removed bcs i thought it would go away. I have noticed that i may be the cause for frequent vaginal infections on my wife. i went to see a doctor twice but they seemed not to take it as something serious. what can i do.
