Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination

I urinate more frequently than ever. Really it s about every 15 to 20 minutes. I went to the doctor and she said I had a bacterial growth. She gave me medication that lasts for 7 days. Well 3 days after completing the medicine the frequent urination started again. More test was done at the doctors office and the same medication was given. I am now experiencing the same symptons. The doctor gave Pap smear, urine test, and and x-rayed my stomach. So what else could it be. Oh at times I have pain in my front right side and sometimes in my back.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having chronic recurrent urinary tract infection causing by resistant strain of bacteria.
It will be more useful to conclude your problem if you mentioned reports of ultra sound, pap smear test and x-ray abdomen.
You might require culture and sensitivity teat of urine which will give specific organisms causing this infection and antibiotic medicine most effective against these organisms.
Take plenty of water.
Ok and take care.
