Hi,

The renal cyst may be non significant and does not indicates any disease conditions. The frequent ruination may be due to bladder related problems and you can consult a urologist and get evaluated. Wishing all the best.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

25 year old male. I seem to have an increased urgency in going to the toilet, although this will sometimes be just blood and mucus discharge, and there is also quite a lot of bleeding in any normal bowel movement. The blood is usually bright red but will sometimes be darker with more diarrohea like stools (which could be due to the mix?). I also have rumbling in lower bowel and increased gas which seems to be worse in the 24 hours after eating certain type of foods (curry and pizza seem to have been two specific triggers in the past few weeks). I have no stomach pain or cramping (occassional discomfort but this feels more down to trapped wind when i have increased gas), no weight loss and no loss of appetite. The problem seems to be worse when i am sat down for a long period of time. Been to GP and gave stool sample which came back negative, been referred to the hospital but will have to wait a number of months before an appointment. Any suggestions on a diagnosis and how to get this under control in the meantime?

I have 13 or 14 blood stools which appear black everyday and the situation has lasted for six months or little less and it seems to be getting worse as earlier I had about six blood stools. I also suffered from memory loss. I also have frequent urination and pain in my body perhaps in my organs. I have also lost some weight(about 2 stones) in the last six months.

I was dispensed the wrong medication by Boots. I had been taking 100mg atenolol daily instead of 100mg of allopurinol for gout. I ended up in hospital bradycardic and, apparently, very close to an M.I. I only have one remaining kidney with mild hydronephrosis.I only took 2 doses and the last one I took was last Wednesday evening. I keeping getting a very lethargic, dizzy and going quite pale, whenever I get up to do something. Is it still normal to feel unwell after 5 days without taking the drug. I realise the half-life of atenolol is only 6 hours, so I am rather worried as to why I am still feeling similarly to how I was last week.

my daughter is suffering from primary VUR Gr3/Gr2 left&right withnormal DMSA report, without hydronephrosis&renal dysplasia.she had one febrile UTI at the age of three in2007.she was on ABP (uritop1/3 dose)recently she had one breakthrough UTI managed medically. Now the doc is telling it is persisting one you have to undergo a surgery called ureteral re-implantationand mentioning that she may not have any problem now but in future during her pregnancyin the form of HTN&ESRD.but my search in medical databases which includes meta analysis, sys reviews&RCT s are showing no significant difference between medical&surgical management.moreover prenancy related problems are only due to congenital renal dysplasia not due to VUR.MY queries are; 1.is surgical management necessary?is there any evidence for it s superiority? 2.can we wait till puberty for self correction? --3.can medical management be an option? 4.is there any study evidence the primary VUR led to pregnancy problems? 5.what are the latest articles in this regard?
