Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am not certain if this is considered heart palpitation but I feel like heart beat is on my throat and makes me cough. When a heart beat is on my throat I do not feel the pulse. I do not smoke, do not drink alcohol and do not drink caffeinated drinks. I was drinking non-caffeinated coffee but I quit that. I am 55+ year old female and I am not over-weight. I have an appt. with my doctor in about 3 weeks and I am wondering if I shoul see him earlier. Thank you very much, in advance, for your response.
Hi Thank you for trusting HCM I read your query and understand your concern I think that the cause of your condition might be palpitation or any extrasystol Both of them aren't risky so you can wait for the appointment you have already scheduled Don't worry too much you will be fine after starting treatment (probably beta blockers) Wish you good health and fast recovery Hope my answer had helped you Don't hesitate to contact me for further information or clarification Regards Dr Drilona Kenga Cardiologist
